City - ROGERS BROADCASTING LIMITED 1. “Contest Period” starts at 5:30am on September 11, 2013 and continues until 11:59am on October 2, 2013, the “Contest Closing Date”. No purchase necessary. Maximum one (1) entry per email address, per day, with a maximum of nine entries during the contest period. Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per person, any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or entry methods not authorized by these rules, shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries. All times are Mountain Times. This Contest is sponsored by City Calgary, a division of Rogers Broadcasting Limited, hereinafter referred to as (“City”) and the 17th Avenue SW BRZ ("17th Ave BRZ). (a) To enter, watch Breakfast Television on City during the Contest Period to collect the mystery 17th Avenue business establishment. Then go to www.breakfasttelevision.ca to enter. Click on the contest button and complete the entry form. The mystery 17th Avenue business establishment must be submitted with the entry form during the Contest Period. An entrant can enter up to nine times during the Contest Period. Each mystery 17th Avenue business establishment counts for one entry into the Contest. (b) A random draw by a representative at City Television from all entries received will be made at approximately 12:30pm MT on October 2, 2013 at 535 7th Avenue SW., Calgary, Alberta T2P 0Y4. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email, as set out on their entry form. (c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached within 2 business days following the draw, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, declines the Prize, or fails to return a release of liability as specified below, another entrant will be selected. 2. Prize: (a) There are five (5) prizes in total available to be won. Each Prize consists of one (1) $500.00 CDN Visa giftcard. Potential winners agree to use the Prize within the 17th Ave BRZ (on 17th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, situated between 14th Street SW and 2nd Street SW, includes 16th Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta) on Saturday October 5, 2013 Potential winners may have only one (1) guest accompany them on the 17th Ave BRZ Shopping Spree. Potential winners must be able to register at City Television at 8:30am on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Potential winners and his/her guests must be able to join Breakfast Television's Jill Belland on the 17th Avenue Superbus and travel to the 17th Ave BRZ. The 17th Ave BRZ Superbus will depart from City, located at 535 7th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta at 9:00am to begin the 17th Ave BRZ Shopping Spree. Potential contest winners agree to return to a final location in the 17th Ave BRZ (exact location TBD) for a 17th Ave BRZ Shopping Spree wrap up party with their purchases on Saturday Oct. 5, 2013. The 17th Ave BRZ Shopping Spree is estimated to conclude at approximately 6:00pm on Saturday, October 5th, 2013. (b) Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged. City reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal or greater value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize. (c) Potential winners and his/her guests are responsible for all costs incurred to and from the departure point as the prize originates and terminates there 3. To be declared a winner, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed at the Event; and will also need to return a signed release of liability and acknowledgment form. Contest judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes. 4. By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their entry, name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by City and the 17th Ave SW BRZ, its advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation. 5. This Contest is open to residents of Southern Alberta who are over the age of 18, excluding employees of City, its parent and affiliated companies, representatives, dealers and agents, Contest suppliers and judges, and those with whom they are domiciled. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. 6. No communications will be entered into except with selected entrant. 7. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by City. City takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. City is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. All entries become the property of City and will not be returned. 8. City is collecting personal data about entrants for the purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide City with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form. Before being declared a winner, entrants may be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release. 10. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by City. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the Contest. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein. 11. (a) City assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. (b) City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend or otherwise modify this contest, cancel any method of entry or void any entries submitted fraudulently should unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of this Contest. In the event of cancellation, City may elect to identify the winner and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, City reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. (c) If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search.
