SIGNS OF CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE: Prolonged exposure to high atmospheric
concentrations of respirable dust of amorphous silica may cause non-progressive fibrosisof the lungs; amorphous silica does not cause silicosis.
OTHER POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS: No evidence of mutagenic or teratogenic potential has
been observed. EPA (2004) has evaluated the carcinogenic potential of Permethrin underits ‘Review Draft of the Guidelines fro Carcinogen Risk Assessment (1999)’. Permethrinhas suggestive evidence of carcinogenicity but not sufficient to assess humancarcinogenic potential.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: None known.
CARE SHOULD BE EXERCISED IN HANDLING PERMETHRIN AND ITS FORMULATIONS
