College of Theatre Arts and Dance, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Focused on design process, participants execute four design projects using four different methods of achieving their design. Each project uses the rendering style of a different Broadway designer to help them diversify their rendering skills.

Spring TH 5580 Costume Technology - Corset Making for the Theatre 2008 College of Theatre Arts and Dance, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities An in-depth, hands-on class in corset making. Divided into two projects based on research from two different centuries, students pattern, construct, fit and correct Fall 2006 TH 5950 Topics in Theatre - Millinery for the Stage College of Theatre Arts and Dance, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities An in-depth, hands-on class in hat making. Divided into three projects, students construct hats in fabric, straw and felt. Spring TH 5580 Costume Technology - Costume Crafts 2006 College of Theatre Arts and Dance, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Laboratory class in Costume Crafts covering mask making; shoe manipulation; sculpting, mold making and molding; leather and thermo-plastic construction; and nylon, plastic and brass used in underpinning construction.

present The Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis, Minnesota Working directly with Ann Hould-Ward on The Glass Menagerie , paint, dye, quilting and embroidery were employed to create a series of period looking fabrics to enhance the desired effect of realism. Set in the 1750’s, The Merchant of Venice called for a light weight pannier hoop of nylon rod, silk matelasse petticoats, a set of silk brocade stays and Watteau backed gowns of brocade, tastefully designed by Paul Tazewell.
